Rosie Marshall has been doing hair since their apprenticeship began in 2014. While they have enjoyed working with fashion colors and precision cutting, their primary focus is on gender-affirming, lived-in, and wearable haircuts for the queer community. From the start of their career, Rosie has been committed to creating a safe and welcoming space where clients can feel comfortable receiving self-care, no matter how they identify. They strive to provide realistic, achievable, and maintainable styles that help clients feel more at home in their own bodies.

Freda Austin is a master cosmetologist with over 30 years of experience, dedicated to guiding clients on their journey to healthy, thriving hair. As the founder of Ethereal Crown Salon Spa, Freda has created a serene, transformative space focused on personalized scalp and hair care. Every detail, from soothing aromas to expert touch, is designed to nurture the senses while rejuvenating and restoring the hair’s natural beauty. Whether addressing scalp conditions, repairing hair damage, or providing a moment of self-care, Freda partners with clients to foster confidence and wellness.

Courtney has been a licensed hairstylist & make up artist for almost 8 years. She’s also a part time photographer & loves to apply her beauty related experience to her work. She doesn’t specialize in anything specific however, she loves any brunette or high contrast blonding services.

Libby (she/her) is a hair designer with 9 years of experience, specializing in all things color, corrections, blonding, and haircutting. All genders are welcome!

As a queer barber, Rae focuses exclusively on haircuts, bringing a passion for curly hair and a mastery of the straight razor—her favorite tool for adding sharp details and a clean finish that elevates every fresh cut. Her approach blends thoughtfully crafted hair care with the deeply personal journey of self-image. Rooted in the belief that “Hair Has No Gender,” Rae is committed to breaking down outdated norms and ensuring that hair is never a barrier to self-expression.

Caroline has been in the industry for over 10 years and she has loved every second of it! Caroline and her husband have two beautiful Australian Cattle Dogs and they enjoy trying new restaurants and exploring all of Richmond’s beauty! She found the beauty industry to be exciting and so empowering for all people. We really do magic behind the chair! She loves connecting with all her clients so when they leave they feel refreshed and more polished.

Akina is a certified Sisterlocks/microlocks consultant. She loves to encourage her clients to embrace and love their natural hair with their locs. Educating her clients/students on healthy hair is her number one priority.

Mel is super silly and laid back; so naturally she loves creating low maintenance hair that is easy to style and keep up with. One of her specialties is curly hair, and she has been working with all types of textures since her apprenticeship! She loves learning and continuing her education; and she is also a curly haircutting educator. She also specializes in using a razor to cut hair and create lots of fun layers and texture. Her goal is to provide a relaxing, fun, and uplifting environment for whoever sits in her chair. She has a passion for making people feel cared for, and making them feel like the best version of themselves

Hoang has been in the barbering industry for over 3 years. He loves music, fashion, food, sports, just to name a few. He has a real passion for the creative and craftsmanship side of his trade. And also meeting, building cool/meaningful relationships with clients of different backgrounds in his chair. He specializes in all men’s and women’s hair with styles that range from close shave skin fades to pixies and mullets!
